Silver Award of Excellence: It is time to call for nominations for the 2011 Silver Award of Excellence.  The Silver Award of Excellence is a lifetime achievement award that can only be received once.  It is the most prestigious award the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of Alliance for Women in Media awards any individual. Please click here to get the details on nominating. All nominations need to be in by noon on Friday, February 3rd.

Students in Broadcasting: If you know a student who would like to submit for the Irene Runnels – Paula McStay scholarship, please connect with Veronica Willingham, at KTVT.  Submissions will be accepted through mid-March, and the winner will be presented their scholarship at the Awards of Excellence Gala. Details are on the Students page of this website. Additionally, the AWM Foundation will be offering multiple student scholarships throughout 2012.  Presently, the Loreeen Arbus Focus on Disability $5,000 Scholarship is open with a February 1, 2012 deadline.  If you have questions about this, please connect with Vivian Unger, of Broadcast Resources.
