Hello AWM Members and Friends!
The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation is gearing up for a fun-filled Spring!
We are working to offer support, education and growth opportunities for women and professionals in an ever-changing industry…and celebrate our DFW media community!
The 30th Annual Awards of Excellence Gala was a huge success. We'd like to thank all of the hard-working, bright and creative people who made it such an amazing night. The list of winners in each category is linked below. The 30th recipient of the 2013 Silver Award of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award is Jon Heidtke – Senior Vice President and General Manager of Fox Sports Southwest. The Silver Award is presented annually to a media professional in Dallas/Fort Worth based on the following criteria: above reproach in regard to the hiring and promoting of women; promotes and helps the media business; deeply contributes to the community at large; has made a direct, positive impact on the DFW media community; solely represents a commitment to excellence; and whose accomplishments are an example to others in the media and business community. Mornin' After Golf Tourney...
Get ready to Tee off at the Mornin’ After Golf Tournament, the morning after Showdown!, Friday, April 26, at Stevens Park Golf Course in Dallas. The newly redesigned historic golf course in the heart of Kessler Park was masterfully renovated to retain its historic character and nostalgic feel with beautiful views of Downtown Dallas. You will enjoy a totally new golfing experience since this club is being referred to as the "Little Augusta" of North Texas. Early sign ups starting at $85 with Showdown or Gala tickets! The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) is pleased to announce FOX Sports Southwest Senior Vice President/General Manager Jon Heidtke as the recipient of its annual Silver Award of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award.
