Membership in the Alliance for Women in Media provides members with outstanding educational and professional development opportunities through national and chapter events, linking you to your peers in the media and allied fields.

• Educational Offerings
  Alliance for Women in Media offers members a variety of leadership training, educational, and professional development opportunities. These programs are designed to assist members looking to advance in their current position or accelerate their career to the next level. 
• Award  and Recognition Programs
  Alliance for Women in Media showcases several award and recognition programs throughout the year including the Gracie Awards, BELL (Bringing Excellence to the Local Level) Awards, Achievement Award and International Outreach Award which have become benchmarks of excellence for media professionals.   The DFW Affiliate recognizes and hosts the Awards of Excellence Gala annually as well.  Local Media professionals are nominated by their peers and awarded for their outstanding service.  Each year the DFW Affiliate recognizes one outstanding individual for the Silver Award of Excellence also at Gala for lifetime achievement recognition.

• Chapter Affiliation
  Alliance for Women in Media local affiliates provide members a local forum for personal and professional development and an opportunity to develop leadership, pubic speaking and group decision-making skills. Membership in the Alliance for Women in Media local affiliates is separate from your Alliance for Women in Media National membership. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of both National and local membership. 
• Fast Forward Email Newsletter
  Published weekly, Alliance for Women in Media's FAST FORWARD keeps members up-to-date on legislative issues, industry activities and association news. Subscriptions are included with membership. 
• Advocacy
  Through a nationwide network of media professionals, the Alliance for Women in Media acts as a megaphone for your concerns providing a collective authoritative voice heard among key decision-makers. 
• Online Membership Directory
  An online directory of members and resources. Find colleagues through or searchable database. Members can search by a variety of criteria: industry, last name, city, chapter, job function, etc. National membership required. 
• Students in Media
  DFW’s Alliance for Women in Media assists in the founding of Collegiate affiliates.  UTA has a local organization.  We host an annual Media Tour for Students and also have a scholarship that is awarded  annually 
• Website
  Access to the most current industry information and resources with a password protected members-only section.
• AWM Leadership and Staff
  A team of policy, communications, marketing and event planning experts who are always available to assist you.
