Jodie WarnerMember Profile Inteview with Jodie M. Warner...

Can you give us a few personal details about your life? – I have been in advertising for approximately 14years now.  My husband Kevin and I have been married for 18years, we have a 17year old daughter named Sidney and two small ‘furry children” named Prince and CoCo.

How did you get into the industry and what was your first job? – I was personal friends with Stephanie Brom-Hall when I was in college.  Once I graduated, she encouraged me to come work with her at Blair Television (Petry) as a Sales Assistant.  The rest is history…

What can you tell us about your current job?- Currently I am a National Account Executive for Telemundo Media, where I sell Hispanic spot television.  I thoroughly enjoy my position because it allows me access to build lasting relationships with direct clients/agency personnel, as well as develop my skills utilizing the most expansive forms of media. (TV, On-line, Digital Out-of-Home, Mobile and Grass-root events).

What advice would you give someone new to the industry? – Get involved and give back!  My membership with AWM has allowed me to network within the organization and give back to the professional community, as well as the local community.

Have you had a mentor? – Yes, Stephanie Brom-Hall.  She has been very influential in helping me learn how to deal with tough work situations and how to make sound career decisions.

What has been your biggest achievement in your career thus far?  - Tough one…well I was once nominated for Rep of the Year.  It was fun just to be nominated.  Maybe I’ll win next time J

What is the one truth that has held constant throughout your career? – Stay open-minded.  This industry is constantly changing/evolving so we all have to be prepared to embrace new ideas, concepts and technology.  And, if you do not have a positive attitude in this regard your career will not last long.  So, I try my best to keep my glass “half full”.
